Swift Wash was awarded the Godfrey Phillips Bravery Award in Social category for the economic rehabilitation initiative for victims of CSE. The Award presentation was held on June 18, 2009, at the Hotel Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai. Ms. Renuka Madar, President, Swift Wash received the award on behalf on Swift Wash.

Mr. Steven J. White, The Deputy Chief of Mission from the Embassy of the United States of America and Mr. Michael Newbill, Political & Economic Affairs Officer from the Consulate General of the USA, visited Swift Wash - mechanized laundry unit, on 22nd October 2008. Swift Wash is a centre for Research, Training and Economic Rehabilitation. It is an initiative of Arz, a social work organization

On his arrival Mr. Steven J. White, was briefed by Mr. Arun Pandey, Director Arz, and his team regarding the trafficking phenomenon in Goa and the holistic approach adopted by the organization towards combating trafficking for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation. He was also briefed about the contribution of Swift Wash in providing alternative livelihood options for the victims of commercial sexual exploitation as well as the various stake holders surviving on the prostitution market in Goa. Mr. Pandey also shared the collaboration between Arz and the state government in combating human trafficking in Goa.

Later, Mr. White visited the laundry unit wherein the members of Swift Wash explained the the operation of the machines, washing processes, etc to the visitors. He showed a keen interest in understanding the working of the laundry and appreciated the knowledge of the beneficiaries regarding the laundry. The visitors also spent time with the children in the creche at Swift Wash.

Mr. White had an interactive session with the beneficiaries where he shared that he appreciated the effort taken by beneficiaries to run the laundry, and was impressed that they are going to be the ultimate owners of the unit. He further congratulated them for being business women and wished them a good future.
