On 9th January 2026, an Anti-Human Trafficking awareness session was conducted for CISF personnel at Goa Dabolim Airport in observance of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day (January 11). The session was organised by the Goa State Commission for Women in collaboration with the Airports Authority of India.
The training programme was inaugurated by Flight Lt. Shri Akash Deep, Airport Director, along with Smt. Ranjita Pai, Chairperson of the Goa State Commission for Women, in the presence of senior airport officials.
Mr. Arun Pandey, Director of ARZ, trained participants on the IVR (Identification–Verification–Reporting) Model of Intervention, equipping them to identify potential trafficking victims, verify risk indicators, and report suspected cases to relevant authorities.
The training highlighted the growing use of air travel for trafficking and emphasised the role of CISF and airport stakeholders in early detection and coordinated response to prevent trafficking through air routes.
