Supporting women to access essential documents, rights and entitlements

ARZ, in collaboration with the South Goa District Legal Services Authority, conducted a legal awareness interaction at WISH, Vasco, on 10 August 2026.

The session focused on helping women understand the importance of essential identity documents and the process of accessing them. The interaction also highlighted how having valid identity documents can help individuals access government schemes, services, legal protections and other entitlements.

The women were encouraged to understand their rights, seek legal support when needed and take informed steps towards securing the documents essential for accessing services and opportunities.

For survivors rebuilding their lives, access to identity documentation can be an important step towards greater independence, inclusion and dignity.

Identity is a right. Dignity is a right. Access to both is essential for a life of equality and independence.
